Coming Soon to Catoosa

Embrace Health & Wellness is opening soon and will be proud to serve the Catoosa community with compassionate, patient-centered primary care.
We are a Nurse Practitioner–led practice focused on prevention, chronic disease management, and long-term wellness. At Embrace, we believe healthcare should be personal, accessible, and centered on what matters most to you. Our approach allows for longer visits, thoughtful care, and true partnership in your health journey.

To better meet the needs of our patients, we will offer evening appointments and select Saturday availability, making it easier to receive care without disrupting work or family obligations.

We are currently preparing our space, finalizing services, and completing insurance credentialing. More details, including appointment scheduling—will be available soon.

We look forward to welcoming you.

All About Nurse Practitioners

Many patients are familiar with physicians (MDs and DOs) but may be less familiar with Nurse Practitioners (NPs). At Embrace Health & Wellness, we believe understanding who is providing your care helps build trust, clarity, and confidence.

Nurse Practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses who are nationally certified and licensed to provide comprehensive medical care. NPs are trained to diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage both acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan.

Nurse Practitioners in Primary Care

In a primary care setting, Nurse Practitioners provide comprehensive care that includes:

  • Preventive care and wellness visits
  • Management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart disease
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Prescribing medications and developing treatment plans
  • Coordinating care and referrals when needed
  • Supporting mental health, recovery, and long-term wellness goals

Nurse Practitioner Education and Training

Nurse Practitioners begin their careers as Registered Nurses, bringing clinical experience into advanced practice. They complete graduate-level education that includes:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing
  • Advanced coursework in:
  • Health assessment
  • Pathophysiology
  • Pharmacology
  • Supervised clinical training in primary care and specialty settings
  • National board certification in their area of practice
  • Ongoing continuing education and regular recertification

This education prepares NPs to deliver evidence-based care while emphasizing patient education, prevention, and care coordination.

Our Promise

We are committed to providing non-judgmental, patient-centered care that honors each person’s unique story and experiences. We strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where all individuals and families feel respected, supported, and comfortable participating in their health decisions.
